Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
Teammates on the Boston Bruins throughout the early-to-mid-1990s, Ray Bourque and Adam Oates are both enshrined members of the Hockey Hall of Fame. We have a pair of sticks used by the duo during their time in Beantown, with the Oates stick team-signed by the 1995-96 Bruins. The Bourque is a Sher-Wood SOP 7030 model from the early-1990s with “Bourque 77” factory graphics, with the original black tape on the blade and white over the handle. There are factory codes on the underside along with an intact striping accent, with nice use exhibited, with wear to the underside of the blade. The Oats stick is also a Sher-Wood model, with “Oates” and “12” stamped-on, with the original white tape over the blade and black on the handle. Light use is exhibited, with some wear to the taped section of blade. One side of the shaft has been lightly sprayed-over with white paint, with approx 20 black marker signatures placed over top including Bourque, Neely, Ranford, Reid, Donato, Mullen, McEachern, Billington and others.
