Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
Currently in his second stint with the Philadelphia Flyers, James Van Riemsdyk has represented the US on the international scale a number of times, winning gold as a U18. We have a Toronto Maple Leafs third jersey that was worn by the Middleton native in 2014-15, and it’s been photo-matched. A size “56” label remains affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests on the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with a felt team crest with “Toronto Maple Leafs” embroidered-on, the solid blue tie-neck has been accented with white felt sleeve and verso numbers, with “Riemsdyk” over the affixed nameplate in matching material. A team store price tag is still attached, and it denote’s the garment as an "ALT set 2" example.
A few dark marks are visible over the left sleeve, with faint burns over the right. There is also some minor pilling to the felt sleeve numbers. Getty Image #466932314 from March 15th 2015 and image #469379214 from April 11th have both been matched to the darker spot on the black mark through the white striping on the left sleeve.
