Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
Arguably one of the quickest skaters to ever grace NHL hockey rinks, Pavel Bure was selected 113th overall in the 1989 NHL Entry Draft by Vancouver, which proved to be a wise pick, with the Moscow native winning the Calder as top rookie in 1992. The model of stick used by Bure in 1994-95, 1995-96 and 1996-97, this particular game-used and signed example was gifted from the superstar directly to our consignor, Ken Daniels. A sportscaster with CBC from 1985 to 1997, Daniels is currently the play-by-play announcer for the Detroit Red Wings on Fox Sports Detroit. A Bauer Composite model with inserted wood Bauer blade, the original white tape is in place over the handle and knob, with no tape ever placed over the blade. An LOA from Ken Daniels will accompany.
With all the wear situated over the shaft, Pavel has added a large and flowing silver paint pen signature across the front side of the blade, and it displays wonderfully.
