Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
Eighth all-time in career points-per-game, Peter Forsberg spent two decades playing high-level professional hockey, with gold medals won representing Sweden at both the World Championships and Winter Olympics. We have a signed stick used by Forsberg circa 1998-99, with this example gifted from the superstar directly to our consignor, Ken Daniels. A sportscaster with CBC from 1985 to 1997, Daniels is currently the play-by-play announcer for the Detroit Red Wings on Fox Sports Detroit. A Titan ASD 7000 model, “Forsberg” appears stamped over the lower shaft along with “42 97”, with “21” handwritten over the upper shaft. With intact white tape over the blade, handle and shaved knob, Forsberg has signed across the front side of the blade in black marker, and the signature displays well. Nice use is exhibited on the desirable stick, with numerous marks to the lower and upper shaft, including some red paint transfer over the knob and lower shaft. An LOA from Ken Daniels will accompany.
