Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019

One of the most desirable rookie cards of the postwar era, that of left winger extraordinaire Bobby Hull, leads this Topps and Parkhurst contingent. Famous card #66 from Topps' 1958-59 issue offered has pleasing centering but falls into the lower grades due to rounded corners, corner creases and surface wear. A diagonal surface scratch is visible through Bobby's nose and left eye, sending the card to the F to G range. Joining it are star cards from the same '58-59 set; 13-Glenn Hall (G), 63-Ted Lindsay (F) and 30-Ed Shack (P). Parkhurst representatives are led by Maurice Richard's #7 card from 1954-55, the VG example accompanied by five '58-59 Parkies. At VG-EX are Hall of Famers 8-Dickie Moore and 28-Bernie Geoffrion, while at F is 2-Henri Richard. The Maple Leafs are also present, with 46-Johnny Bower at P and 48-George Armstrong at VG. Bobby Hull, his favorite goalie (Hall) and some of their long time opponents await the high bidder here.
