Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
Featuring the only defenceman in history to be awarded a trio of consecutive Hart Memorial trophies, we have a great Bobby Orr collection which includes a circa 1972-74 game-stick, along with a jersey and photo signed by the superstar. The stick is a Northland Custom Pro with “4/Orr” handwritten over the upper shaft, with stamp’s from supplier Woody Dumart on both sides of the shaft. There is tape that was added to the blade, along with residue left over the handle from tape that was added and has since been removed. The Bruins jersey is a vintage-style example made by CCM, with “XL” sizing along the collar. Featuring a tackle twill team crest with “4” over the sleeves and verso and “Orr” across the affixed nameplate, Bobby has signed over the left breast in thin black marker, adding a dedication along with “Good Luck Always”. The signature displays well, with a sticker from JSA numbered “Z62319” placed over the collar label. The signed photo is 7 ½” x 11”, and pictures the famous 1970 overtime goal image, with Orr adding a large and flowing black marker signature. There are a few surface indentations, with a bit of surface wear/loss over the reverse. A sticker from JSA has again been affixed, numbered “U65611”, with a matching Basic Certification to accompany.
