This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
The lovers of vintage rubber can rejoice, with a large collection of 1960s/70s NHL practice and game pucks totaling 52 offered, with both Converse and Viceroy examples present and accounted for. Included, we have a pair of late-1960s practice pucks with a Tyer version along with a Converse example (1967-68), a second pair of Converse rubber reverse practice pucks from 1968-69 (2 diff. variations) and a Leafs Converse game puck from the same season. This is followed by 20 Converse screened reverse NHL practice pucks (1969-77), 5 Converse screened reverse AHL practice pucks (1974-76) and 16 Viceroy rubber crested NHL practice pucks with logo variations (1976-82). Rounding out the lot we have a Viceroy screened reverse practice puck (1977-82), 3 Viceroy rubber-crested (Viceroy Rubber & Plastics back) NHL practice pucks and a pair of Rawlings rubber crested souvenir pucks.
Condition within the collection obviously varies, with a number of examples showing just light use, along with pucks showing heavy wear including to the logos. The 1968-69 Leafs Converse puck has gouges and chipping, with wear to both logos including darkening of the Maple Leafs rubberized crest. We should also note that each puck in the collection has a hologram affixed to the reverse.
