Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Regarded as the premier overall player in professional hockey today, Sidney Crosby has led the Penguins to back-to-back Stanley Cup championships, with any and all items from his sensational career desirable. We have just that, with a puck used by Sidney to plot his 14th goal of the 2016-17 NHL season on the road vs the Rangers, on Nov 23rd 2016. His second of two goals in the contest where he also added an assist, Sid was named first star, with the Penguins crushing the Blueshirts 6-1. A Rangers “90” logo graces the obverse along with “Official Game Puck”, while the reverse sports an NHL logo with facsimile signature from commissioner Gary Bettman. Tape has been added around the side, with “2nd Period Rangers-1 Penguins-4 87-Crosby 58-Letang” handwritten in marker. The puck itself exhibits wear to the graphics, with no obtrusive damage. A hologram has been affixed by Steiner, with a matching LOA to accompany.
