Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
On the verge of a promising playoffs appearance at the time of this writing, the Toronto Maple Leafs can boast the most individuals in the Hall of Fame with 75, including 62 players and 13 builders. We have a wonderful group of vintage Leafs items including a multi-signed program from 1964-65, a collection of 24 unused Dixon pencils from the mid-1950s and 10 Maple Leafs confectioners peanut bags. The 6” x 9” program has been signed within the center section by 9 including HOFers Horton, Kelly, Stanley and Bob Pulford, along with Ellis, Litzenberger, Smith, Brewer and Pete Stemkowski. The pencils include Chadwick (10), Reaume (5), James (5), Aldcorn (3) and Brian Cullen. An LOA from JSA will accompany for the signatures.
The 2-page fold-over program hails from an exhibition game between the Leafs and Rochester Americans, with the center staple removed. There is also a vertical fold line along with a horizontal example, with some toning and creasing also present. The ballpoint signatures display well, with each placed over either graphics or text. The pencils all remain unused with full erasers, with some wear and toning to the white finish on most. Lastly, the Maple Leafs peanut bags are all 3” x 6 ½” with wonderful graphics and virtually no wear.
