Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Wondrous white Nike knit Team Canada uniform worn by Avalanche forward Matt Duchene while with the Canadian squad at the 2010 IIHF World Championships held in Germany. The Nike swoosh and size 60 identifiers are there in the collar along with the IIHF tagging. A larger IIHF patch is sewn onto the tail. Matt’s surname crosses the plate on the back and his number 92 is sewn below and again on each shoulder above the Zepter sponsor patches and the embroidered heritage-style leafs. The Nike inventory bar code label is pressed onto the inside hem and we spot a snap-style fight strap. Game use is lighter with a stick mark on the right cuff and a dozen additional smaller marks on the opposite arm.
Matt Duchene notched four goals, adding another three assists over the seven games Canada waged during the 2010 World Championships. The Haliburton-born centerman jumped over to the Ottawa Senators early in the 2017-18 season after eight full years with the Avalanche following a two-season stint in the juniors with the Brampton Battalion.
