Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Resplendent red Nike knit Team Canada jersey from the games of the 2010 IIHF World Championships held in Germany. This example was worn by Matt Duchene who tallied seven points over seven games in the series. The Nike swoosh and size 60 are in the back of the neck above IIHF tagging. A larger IIHF patch is sewn on the tail. Matt’s number 92 is sewn below the name plate and again on each shoulder above the Zepter sponsor patches and the embroidered heritage-style leafs. The fight strap is the typical snap-style and Nike’s inventory bar code is in the inside hem. Smaller scuffs and burns on the arms tell the tale of the game use. Comes with a LOA from Team Canada Authentics.
Matt Duchene has, to date, played for Team Canada at the World Hockey Championships on six occasions: 2010, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017. The Haliburton-born centerman jumped over to the Ottawa Senators early in the 2017-18 season after eight full years with the Avalanche following a two-season stint in the juniors with the Brampton Battalion.
