Matt Duchene was selected to the Canadian contingent for the 2016 World Cup of Hockey, a NHL-sanctioned event held at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto from September 17-29, 2016. Matt's white Adidas knit and air-knit combo features a stylized leaf at center chest just below a small WCH design at the neck. His number "9" is sewn onto each arm and again on the back below a plate holding his name. The Adidas logo rests on the back and Adidas size 56 info is screened into the inner collar. Sewn inside we find Fanatics' inventory set tag with numbered barcode and a snap-style fight strap. Game wear is light, with one stick mark on the left sleeve and another up on the breast.
The official Fanatics Authentic “Game Worn” inventory barcode number is WCOH0159. Matt played 6 games, scoring 2 goals and adding another pair of assists for Canada. Haliburton-born centerman Matt Duchene jumped over to the Ottawa Senators early in the 2017-18 season after eight full years with the Avalanche.
