USA! USA! Oh say can you see this gloriously patriotic 1974-75 U.S.A. national team IIHF world championships game-worn durene jersey that wonderfully displays America’s red, white and blue colors and three team repairs. Purchased by our consignor directly from U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame member Art Berglund, this jersey is from the set worn by the 1974 and 1975 National Junior teams, and also by the Men's National Team at the 1974 IIHF World Championships held in Helsinki, Finland. The tie-neck style with white and red accent striping at the hem and elbows has tagging in the collar by Steichen's with a frayed size fly tag below. More game use shows in red paint transfer on the front hem.
Berglund, a long-time USA Hockey coach and executive, was manager of the U.S. national team from 1973-75.
Game wear includes a team repair above the number “12” on the back, two team repairs on the upper left breast, red paint transfer on the front hem, both on the upper white band on the right side and through the red band and lower white band on the left side, and inner pilling on the shoulders.
