Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Rugged defenseman Normand Rochefort wore this early-1980s Nordiques white home gamer at the outset of his career. A large Maska logo is embroidered onto the right rear tail of Rochefort’s No. 5 game-worn jersey, which has Maska Ultrafil and washing instructions tagging in the collar and a dual ribbon-style fight strap. The awesome multi-twill and embroidered team crest is sewn on the front, while the screened-on numbers and fleur-de-lys display substantial peeling and loss of the blue vinyl that is often observed on these Nordiques gamers. There is a team repair on the left sleeve, black marks on the front and sleeves, which have board burns, and extensive sweat stains from the shoulders on the down.
The Nordiques wore this style from 1981-82 to 1983-84, though they had a Canada games patch in 1982-83 so this jersey is likely from one of the other seasons.
