Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
From a career that spanned an amazing five decades comes this batch of Gordie Howe cards, dating back to four Parkhurst issues. A 1953-54 Parkie does not have any unsightly creases but is P with tape stains and paper loss at the corners (front) and four nickel-size blotches of glue/paper on the back. The same image of Gordie appears on three other/better Parkies; '60-61 #20 (VG), '61-62 #20 (G) and '62-63 #30 (VG). O-Pee-Chee Red Wings cards are nicer after beat up all-star cards from '68-69 (#203) and '69-70 (#215), with Howe's regular '69-70 #61 card at VG, his '70-71 #238-All-Star at VG+ and his special collector's card from '71-72 (#262) at G+. Three WHA/Houston Aeros cards are present; '75-76 #100 and #66-All-Star are VG-EX, with '76-77 #72-All-Star at VG. Completing the lot is Gordie's last NHL/OPC card from his playing days; miscut and otherwise EX.
