Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018

Always intriguing are complete 1963-64 Parkhurst sets, with this one exhibiting handling and wear and two-thirds of it not making it to VG. However, two key cards are among the nicer third, with the Gordie Howe example free of creases and VG, with corner/edge wear and notching in the middle of the top edge to mention. The Alex Faulkner rookie card is an off-centered EX entry, with evidence of wax/gum stains having been removed from the front. Best of the rest are in VG, VG+ and VG-EX condition and include 17-Mahovlich, 23-Richard, 40-Maniago RC, 50-Delvecchio, 76-Horton and 89-Beliveau. The lesser group (66 cards) features 54 in mostly G and G+, with a small percentage of Fs mixed-in, (Sawchuk, both Shacks, 92-Ferguson RC), while a dozen have major defects sending them to P. Pin holes do it to 33-Ferguson RC, 75-Keon and 99-Maniago RC, (the latter also with surface scrapes), while minor back damage affects 16-Horton. Some swell designs and funky colors will be fun to sift through.
