Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018

Utilizing the best talent the WHA could muster, the 1974 Canada-Russia Series would feature no NHL players, with the same Russian threats from the 1972 Summit Series present and accounted for. We have a neat group of ’74 items, including a rarely seen Russian program, ticket stub and Team Canada postcard. The 10 ½” x 17” (unfolded) program features portrait images of members from both squads, with Cheevers along with a Russian player signing. With some creasing and edge wear, the program remains in very good condition, ideal for display. Next, the 2 ¾” x 4 ¾” ticket stub is attributed to the game played on Oct 3rd, with toning and heavy creasing, along with uneven edges. Lastly, the 3 ¾” x 5 ¾” postcard was designed to send to a player of your choosing while in Russia, to wish him the best of luck. This example was never used, and remains in very good condition with just a few creases present.
