Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
The southernmost team in the NHL, the Florida Panthers began play in 1993-94, advancing twice in their history to the Stanley Cup finals. We have a pair of Panthers jerseys, including a preseason/training camp example worn by JP Morin in 2001-02, along with a mid-1990s jersey donned by Geoff Smith. The Morin jersey has Pro Player labeling with a size “56” label, with Pro Player and NHL crests over the reverse bottom hem, while the Smith jersey has CCM labeling with a size “52” fly tag, with CCM and NHL crests over the reverse hem. Both jerseys are styled with the familiar Panthers team crest with embroidered detailing, with tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers. The Morin jersey remains in gorgeous condition and exhibits just a few random marks, with much heavier wear to the Smith example, with marks and small holes over the front and sleeves, along with some paint staining over the right cuff and lower front band. There is also a small stain between the reverse numbers. LOAs will accompany each garment.
