Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
On top of the hockey world during the early-1960s with a line-up that boasted numerous HOFers including Horton, Mahovlich, Kelly, Keon, Armstrong and others, the Toronto Maple Leafs won three consecutive Stanley Cups, from 1962 to 1964. We have a great Maple Leafs document collection of five ranging from 1960-63, with each signed by Hockey Hall of Fame member Punch Imlach. Included, we have a pair Try-Out Agreement “A” forms, with one for Andre Despard from March 17th 1960, the other for Raymond Leclerc from April 4th 1963, with each having stamps present from the Central Registry. Next, we have three Standard Assignment Agreements, with a pair for Martin Howe dated Oct 9th 1963, with one calling for the Regina native to be assigned to the Leafs from the Vancouver Hockey Club, with the second agreement from the same day sending Howe from Toronto to the Denver Hockey Club. The third Standard Assignment Agreement is from 1963 and it calls for Leon Risdon to be assigned from the Calgary Stampeders to the Leafs. Each document has been signed by Imlach, with the Howe Agreements signed in red, the others in blue ballpoint. Each signature displays well with no issues, with expected handling wear to the documents including toning, staple holes and light creasing.
