The all-time longest-serving Toronto Maple Leafs captain after George Armstrong, Mats Sundin piloted the blue and white for 10 seasons, he’s also the only Swede in NHL history to register over 500 goals. We have a Maple Leafs captain’s jersey worn by Sundin during the 2000 playoffs, and it’s been photo-matched. A CCM label and size “58” fly tag remain affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and CCM crests over the reverse bottom hem. Featuring the classic Maple Leafs team crest with embroidered detailing, the white V-neck has been accented with dual-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with matching vintage-style alternate crests over each shoulder. There is also the 2000 NHL and All-Star Game crests, with each situated just above the right breast. The team patch sits over the inside hem denoting the jersey as a “Playoff Set” example, with a MeiGray letter and COR to accompany.
Game-wear consists of numerous dark marks over the sleeves and lower front, along with some dirt staining over each sleeve. Faint burns are also present over the left sleeve, with the front collar just slightly torn. Getty Images #72465329 and #72525699 from April 29th 2000 have been matched to the black mark on the left sleeve cuff (in the white and blue band) and to the two small black marks on the lower left front side of the jersey. 3 printed photos of the match will also be included (one from MeiGray).
