Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018

A recipient of Lord Stanley’s hardware an impressive five times, Guy Lafleur was the first player in NHL history to score 50 goals and 100 points in six straight seasons. The Flower also remains the all-time point leader for the legendary Montreal Canadiens. This signed stick was used by the HOFer in the late-1980s during his time with the Nordiques, circa 1989-91. A Chimo GLM 999 Glas-Lite model, “Lafleur G.” along with “10” appears stamped-on, with the stick retaining its original black tape over the blade, and white over the handle and knob (with handwritten “10”). Lafleur has added a small signature over the handle tape in black marker, with thorough use exhibited on the solid lumber including marks and wear to the shaft.
A note has also been taped to the shaft by a previous owner, with “Autographed Guy Lafleur Game Used” handwritten. Lafleur played his final two NHL seasons in Quebec, appearing in 98 games and scoring a respectable 62 points.
