Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
The Montreal Canadiens kicked off their inaugural 1909-10 season in the brand new NHA wearing a blue affair with a simple white "C", and in honor of that historic season, the 2009-10 Montreal Canadiens suited up on Nov. 21, 2009 wearing an identical replica jersey while tangling with the Detroit Red Wings at the Bell Centre. We have the Habs jersey worn that evening by Andrei Kostitsyn. CCM size “56” labeling sits affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and Reebok crests over the front and back necklines respectively. Styled with a large tackle twill “C”, the vintage-style tie-neck has been accented with white sleeve and verso numbers in matching material, with the “100 seasons” crest over the right shoulder. The team patch resides over the inside hem, while a hologram numbered “GW03465” has been affixed to the reverse “6”, with a matching LOA to accompany.
With just a few burns over the left sleeve along with some minor staining to the reverse numbers, the jersey remains in wonderful condition.
