Serving as the president of the WHL from 1972-95 and president of the CHL from 1975-95, Ed Chynoweth was honoured for his service when the WHL renamed its championship trophy in his honour. Elected to the HOF as a builder posthumously, Chynoweth passed in 2008. Hailing from his personal collection, we have three wonderful display items. Included, we have a framed and team-signed Team Canada jersey from the 2006 World Juniors, a framed 2005 Memorial Cup London Knights display and a limited-edition 1993 Toronto Blue Jays World Series lithograph by Steven Houston. Team Canada was victorious at the 2006 World Juniors, with a lineup that included Jonathan Toews, Kristopher Letang, Marc Staal, Benoit Pouliot, Steve Downie and others, with the framed jersey signed by approx. 21 in black marker, with a plaque placed below. Framed to full dimensions of roughly 20 ½” x 33 ½”, heavy wear is present along the top front edge of the frame. The London Knights display features facsimile tickets mounted with “Row 1 Seat 1”, with a centralized photo (signed by two) of the Memorial Cup along with emblems from each participating team. A plaque lists the particulars below, with the display framed to full dimensions of 28” x 36”. Lastly, the Jays lithograph is roughly 20 ½” x 28”, with a beautiful collage of players including Carter, Alomar, Winfield, Olerud and others, with the artist signing in pencil near an embossed “Ventura” seal. Hand-numbered “980/1992”, a few creases and surface indentations are present. The original shipping box is included, with the lithograph coming tightly rolled.
