President of the WHL from 1972-95 and president of the CHL from 1975-95, Ed Chynoweth was honoured for his lengthy service when the WHL renamed its championship trophy the Ed Chynoweth Cup in his honour. Originating from the personal collection of Ed Chynoweth and consigned by his family, we have a collection of four jerseys that were presented to Ed of from his collection. First, we have a vintage NY Islanders jersey (size 54) signed by his son Dean Chynoweth with tackle twill team crest and numbers, with “Chynoweth” across the nameplate, with just light wear to the jersey itself. The second example is a WHL all-star jersey from the 1980s with Cooper “Large” size tagging (size 52), along with rubberized team crest, with “1” and “Chynoweth” over the reverse in matching material. The jersey remains in gorgeous condition, with the original point-of-sale tag still attached. Next, we have a CHL jersey with Cooper labeling (size 52), with a rubberized team crest and numbers, along with “Chynoweth” across the nameplate in red tackle twill letters. The jersey remains in NOS condition, with the WHL’s 25th anniversary patch over the right breast. Lastly, we have a Team Canada Heritage jersey, with this style worn by Team Canada at the 2002 Olympics, with size 52 tagging along with a tackle twill team crest and numbers, with “Chynoweth” across the nameplate. Also sporting alternate crests over each shoulder, the tie-neck remains in gorgeous condition. A signed LOA from the Chynoweth family will accompany.
