Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
Described by Sports Illustrated during his time in the OHL as the hottest prospect since Wayne Gretzky, Brian Bellows carved out a noteworthy career, primarily with Minnesota and Montreal, winning a Cup with the latter in 1993. We have a team-signed stick from the Ontario native, used during the 1993-94 NHL season. A Sher-Wood PMP 7030 model, “Bellows” and “32” appear on the upper shaft along with handwritten “1”, with the original gauze-style tape over the handle. The blade tape has been removed, with approx. 22 blue marker signature applied to the front side of the shaft including Bellows, Roy, LeClair, Dionne, Desjardins, Damphousse, Lebeau, Schneider, Haller, Daigneault, Odelein, Roberge, Ramage, Sevigny and others. The stick itself remains solid and exhibits nice game-use, with wear to the blade and marks to the shaft. We should also note that the stick can be pinpointed to the 1993-94 season as this was Pierre Sevigny’s first, and Rob Ramage’s last. LOAs will accompany for both the signatures and the stick.
