Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
The only NHL player in history to have supporters riot due to a suspension, Maurice Richard remains the quintessential Hab, with unique items of any kind representing the icon desperately sought by collectors. We have a Richard 1952-53 Montreal Canadiens Stanley Cup Championship 10K gold and diamond tribute ring that was made by a die-hard Rocket collector in the 1990s. Size 12 with an approx. weight of 37 grams, a raised CH logo embedded with diamonds sits centered with a detailed Stanley Cup on the left, with embossed “9” over the left shank and “1953” over the right. “10K” along with “M.R.” are engraved into the inner band, with heavy overall wear present on the ring, including considerable wear with scratches to the band and other areas, with worn edges along with gouges present. The band is also slightly bent, loosing its circular continuity. An attractive box that houses the ring will be included.
