Despite standing 5-foot-9 tall, Terry Ruskowski was a born leader who never shied away from battle, as evidenced by his 2,115 PIMs in 999 games in the WHA and NHL. A two-time Avco Cup champion with Houston in 1975 and Winnipeg in 1979, Ruskowski first became a captain with the Aeros and went on to wear the “C” with three NHL teams, the Black Hawks, Kings and Penguins. His 1982-83 Kings game-worn mesh jersey with a double cloth fight strap and striped stretchy knit fabric tails is from his first season in L.A. Game wear includes black marks on the upper right front, purple-colored transfer marks on the white stripe on the front of the right shoulder, and marks on the left rear near the side seam. Comes with a MeiGray Vintage LOA and COR.
More game wear includes pilling inside the sleeves, a black mark through the white stripe low on the front of the right sleeve, unrepaired cuts/burn holes on the front tail, and light board burns and unrepaired burn holes on the left sleeve.
The embroidered Maska logo on the rear tail sits just right of center and Maska tagging sits in the back of the neck. A “100% Polyester” tag in the back of the neck has hardened and shriveled, likely resulting from machine laundering/drying.
