Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018

Calgary Flames All-Star Theoren Fleury signed in bold black marker on the back of his 1998 North American All-Stars game-worn jersey from the 48th NHL All-Star Game in Vancouver. With a goal and two assists, Fleury had a point in each period of Team North America’s 8-7 win over the World All-Stars on Jan. 18 as the league changed the All-Star Game format leading up to the 1998 Nagano Olympics. NHL inventory number “LIT022” patch sewn directly onto the fight strap denotes that this jersey, which displays no obvious game wear, was one of five issued to Fleury for either the official photo shoot, pre-game warm-up or for use in one of the three periods of the All-Star Game.
A Canada flag patch is sewn on the right breast of Fleury’s maroon gamer, which has a Flames patch on the left shoulder and a 1998 ASG patch on the right shoulder. CCM and size 54 flag tags sit in the back of the neck. CCM, NHLPA and NHL logos are embroidered onto the right rear tail.
