Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
Celebrating the wondrous Original Six era, arguably the most collected in hockey, we have a pair of desirable calendars, with an example for the Maple leafs along with a calendar for the Red Wings. The Maple Leafs full colour example is the smaller and much harder to find 12” x 18 ½” specimen for the 1952-53 season, with the Leafs featured on the cover along with additional images on additional pages of the Red Wings (current Stanley Cup champions), Turk Broda, NHL All-Stars and more. The Red Wings calendar is 11” x 17 ¼” and issued for 1963-64, with an introductory notice attached to the cover. Howe is pictured on the first page, with additional images of The Olympia, NHL trophies, a 1962-63 team photo and more. All ready for you to enjoy, this pair would look especially attractive framed.
The Maple Leafs calendar has some light toning/discolouration, with a fold across the center along with some chipping to the bottoms of a few pages. The Red Wings example is in excellent condition, with just some discolouration to the attached introductory notice.
