Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
A product of Miami University, winger Brian Savage became the first Montreal Canadien since The Phantom Joe Malone in 1917 to record six points for the Habs in a road game. We have a jersey worn by the 1994 Olympic silver medal winner from his time in Phoenix, in 2002-03. CCM labeling with size tagging sits along the collar, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests over the back neckline and bottom bottom hem respectively. Featuring a multi-coloured and partially-textured Coyotes team crest with “02-03 Set #2 #49” handwritten along the reverse, the V-neck sweater has been accented with tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with matching alternate patches over each shoulder. Game-wear includes dark marks over the lower front and sleeves, with some paint transfer on the upper right sleeve near the shoulder. There is also a small hole near the paint transfer. The team patch resides along the inside hem, with the jersey denoted as a “2002/03-2” example. An LOA from the Coyotes will accompany.
