Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017

Thirsty for some nifty old collectibles from the 1960s? Well, we'll leave the cards for now and start with the dandy Coca-Cola items, led by four complete team sets of cards from 1965-66 and still in their original mailing envelopes and looking real nice and near minty in their original accordion not-detached style, complete with the coupons to send away for a card album. Teams present are the Maple Leafs, Red Wings, Rangers and Bruins, while 22 Coke caps have also survived in nice shape, with a few dents and light scratches observed. The lineup is led by Hall of Famers Howe, Hall, Bucyk, Gilbert and six Leafs; Sawchuk, Bower, Mahovlich, Keon, Armstrong and Moore - nice! Most of the trading cards are not so nice, with however a VG-EX+ Pit Martin #1 "tallboy" card carrying some weight/appeal. Four others, including Sawchuk and Bower, have back damage, while creases affect cards of Kelly and Gilbert. Parkhurst cards from '63-64 include a rather good-looking Gordie Howe card but wax stains and a pinhole in the upper border affect it, with a pinhole also in cards of five Leafs which include Keon, Mahovlich and Armstrong. Completing are 32 Toronto Stars photos (EX to NM) from '64-65, (Howe, Beliveau, Horton and Plante are among them), along with six more displayed in a decorated accordion-like album, along with a few miscellaneous items. Some real decent break-up value in this interesting lot.
