Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
The pressure was on for Team Canada in game 2 of the ’72 Summit Series after being blasted 7-3 in the opener at the Forum. It wasn’t supposed to be like this. The Canadians would respond in fine fashion though, winning the game 4-1, and for a few days at least, all was as it should be in the minds of Canadian hockey fans. We have a pair of crisp ticket stubs from that big game 2 at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto, preserved in wonderful condition with fresh colors and nice edges. Each roughly 2 ½” x 4” example also exhibits light corner wear with a small unobtrusive wrinkle along the middle section, along with a few small random spot stains.
