Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
Extremely influential to the game throughout his career, Ben Hogan is said to be one of the first golfers to match particular clubs to yardages, as well as pinpoint reference markers on a course. He is also one of only five golfers to have won all four major championships currently open to professionals. Presented, we have a pair of signed photos from the deceased legend. The first b&w photo is 8” x 10”, and it pictures Hogan in full swing, with concerned onlookers in the background. Hogan has signed along the bottom right in black marker, with the signature displaying well. The second print is 11” x 14”, and it pictures Hogan driving the ball down the fairway. The HOFer has signed along the left, and the signature is flawless. An LOA from JSA will accompany the 8” x 10” example, with Basic Certification from the company for the larger print.
The 8” x 10” photo remains in gorgeous condition, with a sticker numbered M28308 from JSA affixed along the lower left. The larger 11” x 14” photo exhibits a few small surface indentations, with touches to a couple of corners. A sticker from JSA has also been affixed along the reverse, and it’s numbered Y70094. An LOA from HOFer Brett Hull will also accompany these desirable signed photos, as they originate from his personal collection.
