Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
Rarely surviving in complete form, we have an attractive deck of Maurice Richard playing cards with their original box. Issued in 1948 and complete at 54 cards including a pair of jokers, each card features a matching image of The Rocket along with a facsimile autograph, with different advertising from businesses in St-Hyacinthe on each card. The image of Richard is repeated on the 2 ½” x 4” box, with no additional dating or manufacturer’s markings. The cards have all been well handled, with expected wear commensurate with their former use. There is toning, along with some surface loss and the odd crease, with clear tape affixed to a few examples. Additional wear is present along the top and bottom portions of the box.
