Justin Wilson wasn’t just a racer he was a champion, a true gentleman and the driver known to his friends and team simply as Badass!. Justin never really got a chance to prove himself in real good equipment as he drove for some of the lesser teams in the ChampCar World Series and later the IndyCar Series but he still managed 7 wins and 8 pole positions. He captured his first win in Mexico City in 2005 for the small RuSport team and his last victory was the first for the underfunded Dale Coyne Racing when he scored the team’s first ever win at the Texas Motor Speedway in 2012. Justin wore this custom Oakley suit during the 2010 and 2011 IndyCar seasons while driving the Z-Line Design car for Dreyer & Reinbold Racing. The suit shows tremendous race use, all sponsors logos are embroidered onto the suit and the waist belt has the Union Jack flag and WILSON embroidered in large black letters.
Justin was a part time driver for the 2015 season, he was negotiating with the powerhouse Andretti Autosport to drive their car in 2016. He had just come off a second place finish in the Honda Indy 200 at the Mid Ohio Sports Car Course when they went to the Pocono Raceway on August 23, 2015. Justin was running in the top 10 when the leader crashed and a piece of that car bounced and struck Justin in the head, he never regained conscience and passed away the following day in hospital.
