Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
From the defunct and highly collectible Hartford Whalers, we have a jersey worn by centerman Terry Yake in his fourth of five seasons spent in Connecticut in 1991-92, and it’s been signed. A sewn-down Maska Ultrafil label with handwritten “38”, along with a size 52 fly tag all sit along the collar, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests on the back bottom hem. Featuring the Whalers team crest in double-twill, the V-neck garment has matching sleeve and verso numbers, with the important NHL 75th anniversary patch over the right breast. Game-wear includes a number of marks on the sleeves and lower front white bands, with some pilling in spots. There is also some random staining present, on the lower front and over each sleeve near the elbow sections. Yake has added a thick and solid black marker signature near the top of the back “8”, and it displays well. A MeiGray Vintage LOA and COR will accompany, along with an additional LOA.
