Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
Featuring the Esposito bothers Phil and Tony, we have a pair of expertly executed signed lithographs by acclaimed artist Daniel Parry. The first example is entitled “The Speech” and it features Tony and is roughly 12” x 15” and executed on card stock, with a portrait image of the HOFer as he addresses Canadians after the surprising result of the first four Summit Series games played in Canada. Phil has signed beneath his image in black marker, and the signature is flawless. The artist Parry has also signed along the bottom left, near an embossed seal from Heritage Hockey. The lithograph itself survives in beautiful condition, with just an upper right dinged corner to mention regarding condition. The second print is an artist’s proof and it features the brothers, with both portrait and on-ice images wonderfully depicted by Parry. Each has signed beneath his respective image in pencil, with Parry signing along the bottom right. Entitled “Brothers”, the roughly 17 ¾” x 26 ½” lithograph has been hand-numbered “45/99”, and remains in gorgeous condition. COAs for each will accompany these wonderful lithos.
