A two-time gold medal winner at the World Juniors with Team Canada, Kris Letang has spent his entire career in Pennsylvania, soon to begin his 10th NHL season with Pittsburgh. This Penguins jersey was worn by the Montreal native in 2011-12, and it’s been photo-matched. Size tagging along with a Reebok name band sits affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Featuring a clean and attractive Penguins team crest, the solid black v-neck has been embellished with oversized and textured triple-twill numbers and name-on-nameplate. A chip from JerseyTRAK has also been placed just above the fight strap, with a signature from equipment manager Dana Heinze in marker just below. A team LOA and a letter from JerseyTRAK will accompany, along with a third document.
The team patch resides on the inside hem, and it divulges that this garment is a “Set 1 Regular Season” example. Game-wear includes just a few marks and faint board burns over each sleeve, along with three team repairs on the lower left sleeve. Regarding the previously mentioned photo-match, Getty image #130204958 from Oct 22nd 2011 has been matched to the loose threads on the letters "NG", on the nameplate on verso. An included document from JerseyTRAK also informs us that this Letang jersey was worn specifically in the following contests, 10/11/11 vs Florida, 10/22/11 vs New Jersey, 11/11/11 vs Dallas, 11/21/11 vs the Islanders and 11/23/11 vs St. Louis.
