Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
A mainstay with the Toronto Marlboros of the OHA, Brit Selby also spent parts of six seasons with the Maple Leafs beginning in the early-to-mid-1960s. We have Brit's Option Agreement from the Leafs dated March 1965 and signed by Selby along with Punch Imlach, along with a pair of documents on MLG letterhead regarding a five-game tryout with the parent club, with one document signed by Selby, the other by Leafs GM Jim Gregory. The Option Agreement features a registry stamp dated the 16th of March, while the tryout letters originate from the same day, one year apart, with one originating from 1964, the other '65. All three documents and signatures remain in excellent condition with very little wear, with holes punched along the top section from their former mounting in a large Leafs document binder.
