Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
Sharks fans and game-worn jersey lovers in general will be happy to do battle for this lot featuring two of Barclay Goodrow’s 2014-15 alternate gamers. The gorgeous teal Stadium Series-style game-worn jersey saw active duty in two San Jose home games, a 4-2 loss to the Ottawa Senators at HP Pavilion on February 28, 2015, one week after the Sharks’ Stadium Series game against the L.A. Kings at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara. Goodrow also wore this fantastic teal, white and black creation with a special “Northern California” Sharks patch sewn on the left shoulder on March 14 during the Sharks’ 6-2 loss to Chicago. “This is Sharks Territory” is sublimated into back of the inner collar, which has a size 58 flag tag below it that has the team store tag attached to it by a plastic tie. There is no obvious game use to report, though there is a mark on the teal portion of the Sharks crest on the front that may be from game wear. “San Jose Sharks 2014-2015, Goodrow-89-0, Issue: 2-27-2015, Exp: 3-15-2015”, Mike Aldrich Equipment Manager” reads the team patch inside the rear tail. Goodrow’s black game-worn alternate jersey has a team patch inside the rear tail that reads, “San Jose Sharks 2014-2015, Goodrow-89-2, Issue: 10-22-2014, Exp: 3-13-2015”, Mike Aldrich Equipment Manager”. Its size 58 flag tag also has a team story tag attached to it. Game use shows in black marks on the “9” in the number 89 on the left sleeve, and a faint board burn on the back of the lower right sleeve. Comes with Detroit Hockey Company documents, including LOAs for each jersey.
