Arguably the greatest Russian player to ever step on the ice, Sergei Fedorov is a three-time Stanley Cup winner along with being the first European-trained player to win the Hart Trophy. This Red Wings jersey was worn by the HOF superstar in 2001-02, a Stanley Cup winning season, and it’s been photo-matched. Size tagging appears in the collar with heat-pressed “1”, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests on the back neckline and bottom hem respectively. Styled with attractive tackle twill numbers and letters along with the classic winged-wheel team crest, the back name has been placed directly onto the jersey. The team stamp resides on the inside hem, and it denotes the garment as a “1st Set” example. An LOA will accompany along with a COA from the Red Wings organization.
Absolutely hammered, this jersey exhibits heavy wear with a ton of stick and puck marks littering the lower front and each sleeve. Additional marks can be found on verso, along with 16 team repairs split evenly between the sleeves. We should also note that each cuff has been slit open and reinforced, for added mobility. Regarding the previously mentioned photo-match, Getty image #610944 from October 18th 2001 has been matched to the dark marks along the middle and top of the “9” on the left sleeve, to the threading exposed along the top portion of the “1” on the left sleeve, and to the mark visible near the top section of the “1” on the left sleeve. The image has also been matched to the dark line that crosses the seam along the bottom left side.
