Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
Worn during the 2010 Winter Classic on New Year’s Day at Fenway Park in Boston, we have a Philadelphia Flyers alternate captain’s jersey worn by Chris Pronger during the second period, along with his Winter Classic game-used gloves. The jersey features size tagging along the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Featuring the classic winged “P” Flyers team crest, the solid white v-neck has been embellished with large double-twill numbers, with the single-twill letters on verso affixed to a black nameplate. The 2010 Winter Classic crest resides over the right breast, while a MeiGray patch numbered G13291 sits on the inside hem. The Gloves are Warrior models in solid black with “Pronger” embroidered onto each wrist guard. LOAs from the Flyers/MeiGray will accompany each item.
With no discernible wear to the jersey other than a few faint marks on verso near the numbers, it remains in gorgeous condition. The gloves, which were also worn after the Winter Classic into the regular season, exhibit marks and abrasions to the surface along with wear to the palms which includes a small hole on the left hand glove.
