Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
One of the franchise’s all-time greatest players, Eric Lindros would end up spending just under a decade in The City of Brotherly Love, finishing his time in Pennsylvania with 649 points in 486 games played. This Philadelphia Flyers captain’s jersey was worn by the London native in 1999-00, and it’s been signed behind the team's crest. A size “58” fly tag along with a CCM label with handwritten “88” sits affixed to the collar, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests on the back bottom hem. Featuring a clean and attractive Flyers team crest, the v-neck sweater has been embellished with double-twill sleeve and verso numbers, with the important NHL 2000 crest residing just above the right breast. A COR along with an LOA from MeiGray will accompany.
Game-wear includes dark marks over each sleeve, along with a few faint board burns. There is also a stick mark on the lower front along with some light spot staining to the reverse. Eric, along with equipment manager Jim Evers have signed the interior along the reverse side of the team crest in black marker, adding a "99-2000" notation.
