Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
A first round draft pick in 1969, Andre Dupont was a winner of consecutive Stanley Cups with the Philadelphia Flyers in 1974 and ’75, playing eight seasons in Pennsylvania before moving on to the Nordiques. This Clarence Campbell Bowl was presented to the solid defenceman for the Flyers status as Western Division Champions in 1976-77. Standing 11” in height, a miniature plated Campbell trophy sits atop a finished 3” hexagonal wooden base. With chased features on the lid and bottom, engraved text proclaims “Philadelphia Flyers Andre Dupont”, while the reverse has “Clarence S. Campbell Bowl 1977”. A signed LOA from Mr. Dupont will accompany.
The trophy remains in very good condition with heavy tarnishing, along with surface loss along the handles and over the text on the reverse. There is also wear to the finial along the top section.
