Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
From his second of five seasons in California, we have a Los Angeles Kings jersey worn by Zigmund Palffy in 2000-01. CCM tagging along with a size “56” fly tag have been affixed to the collar, with CCM and NHL crests on the back neckline and lower back hem respectively. "00/01 S1" has been handwritten on the inside hem, along with Peter Millar's circled initials. Game-use includes dark marks on the lower front along with an example on verso. There are also additional marks over each sleeve, along with board burns with resulting holes over the left. An LOA from the Kings organization will accompany, and it states that this garment originates from the first set of home jerseys used during the 2000-01 NHL season.
Featuring a crown team crest with “Los Angeles” along the lower front band in textured-twill letters, the v-neck sweater also sports matching triple-twill numbers along with identical Kings alternate crests over each shoulder.
