Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
A nice selection of sticks are available here, from the men that tend the nets. We have game-used examples from Curtis Joseph, Brian Boucher and Doug Favell, with the Joseph and Favell examples signed. 1) Curtis Joseph early-2000s game-used stick. Hailing from his time in Toronto, “Cujo” is stamped-on this Bauer Supreme 7000 model stick, which retains its tape on the blade and knob. Very heavy use is apparent, with a ton of puck marks to both sides of the taped blade. There is also a crack along the top portion of the blade, where it meets the paddle. Joseph has added a thin marker signature to the blade, and it displays fairly well. 2) Brian Boucher early-2010s game-used stick. Employed while with the Flyers, this Warrior goal stick has “Boucher” stamped on the upper shaft, with the original tape on the blade and knob present. Nice use is exhibited, with a ton of chips, marks and abrasions to the lower paddle. 3) Doug Favell game-used stick. From his post-career, this Sher-Wood Feather-Lite stick has “Favell” on the upper shaft, with the stick retaining its original tape on the blade and knob. Just light use is visible, with a strand of tape loose along the end of the blade. Favell has added a beautiful flowing signature across the taped blade in blue marker, and it displays extremely well.
