Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
Fans of the Montreal Canadiens who collect lumber will be in awe of the following lot, with 10 game-used sticks including 3 examples that have been signed. We have Jofa, Sher-Wood, CCM and Bauer models present to name a few. The game-used sticks that originate from the 1980s and 1990s were used by Damphousse, Kaberle, Recchi, Hamrlik, Deblois, Svoboda, Quintal and Todd Ewen, while we also have a pair from the 1970s used by Murray Wilson and Gilles Lupien. The Kaberle, Recchi and Damphousse sticks have also been signed, with the Kaberle and Recchi signatures appearing on the heel, while the Damphousse stick has been signed across the blade. All ten sticks retain their tape jobs on the blades and handles (except the Damphousse example), with a few also having their numbers handwritten on the upper shafts. All sticks show varying degrees of wear, with none excessively damaged. An instant collection, this group is a must have for collectors who grew up with the Habs.
