Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
Nine-time OHL champions along with Memorial Cup winners in 1979, the Peterborough Petes are the league’s oldest continuously-run franchise, beginning operations in 1956. This Petes jersey was worn by goaltender Matt Iorianni in 2003-04. CCM and “Goalie Style” labels along with a size “56” fly tag sit affixed to the collar, with additional embroidered CCM crests on the back neckline and over the left breast. Styled with an attractive tackle twill crest, numbers and name-on-nameplate, the v-neck sweater also features the Roger Neilson patch over the right breast beneath an OHL crest along with a CHL patch on the back bottom hem. Abundant game-use is apparent, with numerous black marks present on the front and on both sleeves along with some faint sweat staining around the collar. A few board burns are also present, along with areas of red paint transfer over the right elbow section.
