Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
The 16th overall pick selected by the New York Islanders in the 1983 NHL Entry Draft, defenceman Gerald Diduck saw action with eight different NHL clubs including Montreal, Chicago, Dallas, Toronto and New York. This Islanders jersey was donned by the Edmonton native in 1985-86, the only year he wore #29 with the club. CCM tagging remains affixed to the collar, with an additional embroidered CCM patch over the back bottom hem. Styled with the team crest that saw a decade of use beginning in 1984, the v-neck sweater has also been accented with dual-colour tackle twill numbers and name-on-nameplate. A classic Islanders' jersey, from the club's most dominant era.
Great use is visible on the garment, with dark marks on the front and over each sleeve. There is also some sweat staining present around the collar and over each armpit, along with 2 team repairs on the right sleeve.
