Founded in 1974, the Washington Capitals have won 9 division titles, along with the President’s Trophy in 2009-10 for their first place overall finish in the regular season. This lot contains a bounty of Capitals items, ready to augment any collection. To start, we have a Capitals Jim Carey souvenir jersey. No tagging is present, with a CCM label on the bottom hem. Styled with tackle twill numbers, the jersey remains in beautiful condition. Next we have 14 Capitals team posters, with interesting themes in three varieties, 5 low grade pennants (3 different), a Capital’s tie, a size large windbreaker jacket, 39 large photo-cards from the 1990s, a pair of different mini-banners, four postcards, three pucks – including a marble 20th anniversary souvenir, a Capitals phone and a number of stickers and pins. There are also 8 sheets of unperforated Capitals cards (2 different) from Giant, along with a nice consecutive run of 8 Capitals calendars from 1985-86 till 1993-94. Media guides are also present, with eight total including examples for 1985-86, 1986-87, 1997-98, 1998-99, 2003-04, 2005-06 (Alexander Ovechkin rookie year), 2006-07 and 2007-08, with just a few exhibiting small minor issues like light spine wear. Lastly, we have a Capitals playoff guide from 1991-92, a Capital's Centre dedication book, and program from 1988-89 featuring Scott Stevens on the cover.
